Eric D. Thomas is a famous American American motivational speaker, educator and author. He is quite popular on YouTube. He also gives education consulting and executive coaching through his company.
Eric was born on September 3, 1970, in Chicago. At the time of his birth, his mother was a teenager. Eric was raised by his mother. He spent his childhood in Detroit, Michigan.
When he was in high school, he had many arguments with his mother and aunts. Because of this, he dropped out of high school in the middle and leave home.
After this, Thomas spent two years homeless in the streets of Detroit.
At that time, he met a preacher. He persuaded Eric to study again. After this, his life changed completely. He attends a high school again and also started a job at Olive Garden.
After a while, he shifted to Huntsville, Alabama. There he joined Oakwood University. While there, he started a program to help underprivileged youth during his studies.
Then Thomas started a job at Michigan State University (MSU). And along with that, He started a master degree in K-12 Administration with Educational Leadership.
After his studies, Eric worked as an academic adviser at MSU. After working there, he started his own company. Today he works to motivate students, professional athletes and company employees in different programs.
He has also published 4 books on motivation and success which are The Secret to Success, Greatness Is Upon You: Laying the Foundation, Average Skill Phenomenal Will and You Ain’t the Boss of Me.
